Fusing active and resistant stretching and ball rolling, along with more passive yin and restorative holds to get deep into muscles and fascia. This is a great opportunity for athletes, as well as all those who simply need a good stretch, to release tension and stress while building flexibility. Special attention will be paid to the neck and shoulders, hamstrings, hips, quads and lower back. The benefit of this work will be to relieve tension created from workout endeavors as well as time spent sitting behind a desk. Yogis, runners, skiers, cyclers, bootcampers, and barre practitioners will all benefit greatly from this important investment. Class size is limited to make use of the wall space and to maximize attention for optimal therapeutic effect.

Experience MORE on your mat using the yoga wall: depth, length, extension, upside-down time, openness, release! The yoga wall or Karunta yoga provides a unique opportunity and perspective to explore the asana. Find a deeper level of stretch and expansion while informing your practice with a greater understanding of alignment and right action. It is a strong practice that combines core engagement, longer holds and some dynamic sequences in different planes including standing poses, inverted poses, backbends, and hip openers. You’ll leave feeling more open and taller as you traction your joints and spine to create space and ease in your body. Appropriate for students with a regular practice only. I’ll be teaching the yoga portion of the night along with the beautiful Joanna Benevides. Lulu’s Description: Join us for a night of ambassador-led workouts in a beautiful outdoor setting in the heart of Boston! We’ll start off with Christina Lodde teaching 25 minutes of Corpbasics, an amazing kickboxing-type class that will get your moving and sweating. Andy Marx and friends will lead runs varying from 1.5-3 miles and bring us back in time for Joanna Benevides and Vito Politano to stretch us out and cool us down with a Vinyasa yoga flow. We’re excited to have Boston Pro Sound help us bump the beats and the lovely Grass Gypsies will be serenading us after the run! Bring a mat and a friend! We will be capping the event at the first 150 guests to arrive. Should be pretty cool!! And don’t think I’ve ever been called BADASS before, but figured it must be by association.

I will be teaching at the Salt Lake City Yoga Festival this labor day Weekend. I will be teaching two workshops: Arm balances from baby crow to Sage; and an Off the Wall Yoga – a yoga practice using the wall throughout practice. I am also especially excited to be working with my friend Santosh Karmacharya to co-teach/assist a workshop on finding optimal alignment. I’m a combination of excited and very nervous!!!!
